HOW TO MEASURE FOR YOUR CUSTOM WHITE WIDOW LEATHER JACKET
Getting the perfect fit starts with precise measurements. Because your White Widow Leather jacket is made-to-order from scratch, we rely on the numbers you provide to craft your bespoke armor.
Grab a flexible measuring tape (do not use a metal hardware tape) and, for the most accurate results, have a friend help you out.
PRE-MEASUREMENT TIPS:
- Wear your normal layers: Measure yourself while wearing the type of shirt or light sweater you plan to wear underneath the jacket.
- Keep it snug, not tight: The tape should sit flat against your body. Do not pull it so tight that it digs into your skin, but don’t let it droop either.
- Stand naturally: Keep your posture relaxed. Don’t puff out your chest or suck in your stomach.

STEP 1: THE CHEST
This is the most critical measurement for the overall fit of your jacket.
- Stand naturally with your arms down by your side.
- Wrap the tape measure around the absolute fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level parallel to the floor under your armpits.
STEP 2: THE SHOULDERS
A well-fitted shoulder seam defines the sharp, premium look of a leather jacket.
- Stand facing away from your helper.
- Measure straight across the upper back, from the edge of one shoulder point (where the shoulder seam would normally sit) to the edge of the other.
STEP 3: THE SLEEVES
No one likes sleeves that ride up or swallow their hands.
- Let your arm hang straight down with a very slight natural bend at the elbow.
- Start the tape measure at the tip of your shoulder (the same point you just used in Step 2).
- Run the tape down the outside of your arm, past your elbow, stopping right at your wrist bone.
STEP 4: THE WAIST / BOTTOM HEM
This ensures the jacket zips up comfortably around your midsection.
- Find the natural waistline or exactly where you want the bottom of the jacket to sit (usually right around the belt line for a classic biker or bomber jacket).
- Wrap the tape measure around your body at this point, keeping it level.
STEP 5: THE BACK LENGTH
This determines how long the jacket will be on your torso.
- Have your helper start the tape measure at the base of the back of your neck (right where a shirt collar naturally sits).
- Run the tape straight down your spine to your desired end point (typically the belt line or slightly below, depending on the jacket style).
